We welcome you to learn about and consider joining some of our Student Government Association ministries. There are many great ways to get involved.
Social Ministries
Some Of Our SGA Social Ministry Opportunities Include:
Participation in Open Door at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Allston, MA. We, the SGA, coordinate a shuttle service to take students Monday evenings to and from the parish.
The SGA coordinates a Blood Drive on campus in partnership with organizations, such as the Red Cross, so that our HCHC Community and surrounding communities may participate.
Rise Against Hunger, food packing once a year on campus. This ministry has been done in partnership between the SGA, OSL, & organization Rise Against Hunger. We gather the HCHC Community to come together and package food with a goal of 10,000+ total meals.
The SGA partners with the Social Ministries Department to provide a variety of ministry opportunities, especially local. One example includes Cards of Kindness, where we gathered our HCHC Community to create cards for local nursing homes.
