Student Leadership

Thank you for taking on a leadership role through our Student Government Association at our Sacred School. We want to best prepare you for success in your role. To keep our organization and students healthy, it’s important that we follow the SGA’s Mission, Vision, & Leadership Principles in all our actions. To retain a strong, functional, unified, and long term SGA, proper order and following our SGA procedures is fundamental. In order to assist you, below you will find information and resources to guide you in achieving our shared goals.

Forms

All clubs and groups must fill out certain forms for the proper running of their group and events. SGA Forms Page »


General Guidelines:

  • Advertising:Any committee, club, or organization funded or sponsored by the Student Government must list the HCHC Student Government as a sponsor in any official advertisement or correspondence.” (SGA Constitution, Article IV, Section XII). Examples: On all flyers include the SGA Logo & in planning/announcement emails name the SGA.

  • Financial: For all financially related matters (payments, reimbursements, etc.), you must inform and go through the SGA Treasure & SGA President. They will approve and guide you through financial processes, according to the SGA and HCHC.

  • Room Reservations: For room reservations, fill out the HCHC Events Form to request the desired room(s) and set the date(s)/time(s) (Ex: Single time or recurring meeting).

  • Events: For events, fill out the OSL Events Form to submit your event information, day, time, location, and other applicable logistics.

  • Flyer Approval: For flyer approval/poster distribution, send the flyer via email to the OSL for approval and request the flyer to be placed around campus. Cc the SGA (sga@hchc.edu) on the email correspondences. Double check your flyer includes the required logos. If logo files are needed, you may request them from the SGA.

  • Transportation: For transportation, submit a Van Request Form. Please submit at least 2 weeks in advanced for the request to be reviewed and a driver to be assigned.

  • Communications: Keep the SGA (sga@hchc.edu) & SGA President updated with all events, achievements, reports, meetings, etc. This is a great motivation for other students and allows us all to celebrate your work and accomplishments together.

  • SGA Committees: The SGA President is an ex-officio member of all SGA Committees. We are here to support you. Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, or need of assistance.

  • Keep in mind and follow the SGA Mission, Vision, & Leadership Principles. Do all things as an Orthodox Christian.

  • Follow the SGA & HCHC Constitution, By-Laws, Policies, Documents, Procedures, Guidelines, & Resources. We can always assist you in these areas as well.
